Google for Korea 2025: Unlocking New Opportunities with AI

Google for Korea 2025: Designing a Future Experience with AI

Rebel9 oversaw the comprehensive production of the spatial experience and exhibition content for Google for Korea 2025. Our mission was to create a seamless pathway into the world of Google AI, starting from the welcoming Foyer zone to the exhibition areas where visitors could experience Google’s diverse AI products. Google for Korea 2025 successfully delivered the message “Unlocking New Opportunities with AI” by weaving together Google Korea’s core messages and AI products into a future-oriented experience.

A crucial objective of this event was to connect attendees with potentially unfamiliar AI products, experientially convey the innovative and creative roles AI can play, and ensure the event itself was an enjoyable venue for engaging with AI.

To achieve this, the exhibition hall was designed around the concept of an ‘Innovation & Creativity Powerhouse’. This emphasized visitors actively utilizing and experiencing AI, rather than just viewing demonstrations. Continuous visitor participation generated new ideas for AI application, and these activities, in turn, reinforced the spatial concept, creating a virtuous cycle.

On-Site Experience Design

Gemini Bar: A Sensory Prompt Experience

At the Gemini Bar, visitors were asked what senses they wished to awaken and were provided with a corresponding mocktail. By inputting keywords such as ‘Clarity’ or ‘Depth’, visitors experienced using prompts in an indirect yet intuitive way. The mocktails served were actually made from recipes suggested by Gemini. Rebel9 produced accompanying videos and recipe cards to present the potential applications of AI even more attractively.

EOR Signature Media: The Personification of Data

The EOR (Economic Opportunity Report) Signature Media adopted a method of conveying Google Korea’s achievements by analogizing them to personas. For instance, performance indicators like “Jobs created by Google in South Korea” were linked to personas such as ‘Pioneer’ and ‘Contributor’. These eight personas were illustrated using Google’s AI product, Whisk, serving as an effective strategy to naturally communicate the company’s core message through the demo product.

Whisk Photobooth & Guestbook: Real-Time Interaction

The Whisk Photobooth and Guestbook were interactive media designed to encourage active visitor participation. Attendees could leave commemorative photos and greetings; notably, taking photos led directly to a creative image generation experience using Whisk. In the Guestbook, visitors wrote their greetings by hand, and these records were updated in real-time. These entries, along with the intriguing images generated by Whisk, added vibrancy to the venue.

Spatial Direction and Immersive Environments

The spatial design incorporated branding elements featuring motifs from Google Korea and traditional Korean culture throughout the venue. We applied a spatial plan that connected visitor circulation naturally, much like a festival, and a design system that induced curiosity and encouraged hands-on experience with the AI products. Each signage served as both the name of an AI product and a milestone of the futuristic experience, showing how AI exists in the present or near future.

The Signature Media showcasing Google Korea’s key achievements was situated at the center, around which visitors strolled and encountered various AI products with curious eyes.

In the Creative Agent (Veo), NotebookLM, and Project Astra zones, we effectively demonstrated each AI product while consistently maintaining Google Korea’s branding. The Creative Agent (Veo) zone, demonstrating video generation AI, was produced with cheerful, pleasant images and a Korean aesthetic. In the NotebookLM zone, an AI tool for document-based research, Google Korea’s performance reports were provided as references, allowing visitors to explore using NotebookLM’s core functionalities. The Project Astra zone welcomed visitors with a spatial design featuring familiar objects and Google’s signature colors.

Furthermore, the video and music production used in the space played a crucial role in setting the atmosphere for Google for Korea 2025. The overall intention was to harmonize the familiar feel of Korean tradition with the futuristic sensibility evoked by AI. The music and visuals created an inspiring atmosphere throughout the space, encouraging visitors to immerse themselves in the innovative AI experience.
