Typonotation, Typojanchi 2017

Level Nine has planned and developed the ‘Typhoon Notation’ media in the 2015 exhibition hall of the Typhoon Banquet. Media that generates characters, ‘typo notation’ is a special notation that converts body motion information into a character array. It has been developed to convert three-dimensional information generated by body movement and kinetic energy into two-dimensional character symbols. In the era when all activities in everyday life are recorded only with voice and image, and communication is also a combination of voice and image through an automated system, characters are now a fossil symbol used only by a small number of researchers. Typing notation is one of the few areas in which characters appear, which is important in the future society where characters disappear. The graphic created by the viewer on the ‘typography notation’ media, that is, the kinetic energy of each part of the body, is subjected to an analysis algorithm with decimal units of position information. When the viewer performs a big action, he or she will create a new character according to the string principle in the analysis system. All movements must be recorded in millisecond units in accordance with the notation principle, so inevitably there will be an afterimage. Luckily, the afterimage is removed from the data refinement phase and you can record the clear movement of the viewer. When you move the circular motion above the head, recording starts. When the visitor shoots his body, he receives the sticker and confirms his / her status through the final body graphic created. All graphics are recorded on the website and are entered into the web site listed on the sticker through the code provided to find their “body”. To see recommended works with graphics, visitors will go to the Taipo Banquet Exhibition Center and explore the relationship between body and text.
